 lity\, it can easily create the impression of God’s wrath at worst\, or\
 , at best\, a series of dull\, repetitive actions meant to make us “more
  spiritual.”\nBut this is not God’s design for the spiritual disciplin
 es.\nGod’s desire is to make Himself known to us and to draw us into dee
 per communion with Him. Too often\, we miss this because we do not slow do
 wn long enough to understand His voice or listen to His leading. Spiritual
  disciplines are simply biblically guided practices that help us see our S
 avior more clearly and commune with Him more deeply.\nAs we faithfully eng
 age in these practices\, our hearts are shaped\, and our love for our Savi
